Captain Underpants has been a big hit in our house the past two weeks. Now the boys not only pretend to be Batman and Superman, but Captain Underpants has been fighting crime around here as well.

Trent is getting huge. It's sad. He went on a baby food strike for a few days but he seems to be getting back in the swing of things.

On Saturday night we went to our first Bucks game. It was a lot of fun and the boys seemed to really enjoy it. They were very excited about going down on the court after the game to shoot a free throw and that was a lot of what they talked about during the game. Trent once again proved what an awesome baby he is. He spent the whole game looking around and smiling at everyone.

Down on the court...

Waiting our turn...

Carter's turn...

Horrible picture but Carter tried so hard...

and Brennan's turn...

Apprently he has to put a little more power behind it next time ;)

We had a great time and I'm sure we will be going back in the future. Today was a major recovery day from last night. The boys were zombies this morning and slept all afternoon.

The Write Stuff

Carter amazes me...every day. Yesterday he picked up a pencil and wanted to write his name, so he did. Then I had him write it 3 more times. He has been practicing on his Leapfrog Scribble and Write since Christmas and I think it's paying off.

Carter has definitely been a little sponge these days while he is trying to keep up with his big brother. Brennan is in full on reading mode and Carter is doing his best to stick with him. It is amazing how quickly Carter is picking up on reading and there have been several times when Brennan is stuck on a word and he'll ask Carter what it is. Now, he doesn't have the right answer every time but there have been quite a few times when he does. I am so proud of him!!

Our life is about to get back to normal and I am so excited! Michael has been traveling 6 of the past 8 days and I'm happy that he will soon be home. I'm really getting use to mom'ing it alone and it hasn't been bad at all. The boys have been GREAT! They have been helping clean up, getting ready for bed when asked, running for diapers...it's been wonderful. They are some awesome boys!!

Brennan was so excited this week because he is now able to go to the "Reading Room" at school. This is a big rite of passage for kindergartners. He brings a book home with him, reads it, and then takes it back to school and takes a test using the Accelerated Reader program. He is really becoming a great reader...I am so proud of him. Next week he celebrates the 100th day of school and has to bring in 100 pieces of an ice cream topping for an ice cream party. So, this weekend he will be counting out 100 Reese's pieces...I am wondering how many will end up in his mouth?

Carter is counting down the days to his 4th birthday. Everyday he talks about it and how he is having his first big friend party. I've been planning out all the little details of the invitations and party favors. If I could plan birthday parties all year I would be in heaven...I love it! He is also doing really well at school and has lots of buddies. I can't wait until next year when he and Brennan are in the same school...and if the set up for the classrooms stay the same, they will be right across the hall from eachother. I can just imagine how Carter will yell to Brennan every time he sees him.

Trent is becoming a big boy!...I can't believe he's 4 1/2 months already. He got the green light for cereal/veggies/fruit at his 4 month checkup and is really enjoying it. He holds his little mouth open just like a baby bird...it's so cute. His reflux seems to be getting under control a bit, though some days are better than others. The ped said the solids would help with it and they seem to be. Trent is soooo close to rolling over. Carter said he rolled over once this week...and he was on his back when I came back in the room but I don't know how much help he had ;)Trent still isn't much of a crybaby but he is a complainer now. He babbles on and on with a scrunched up face "ba ba, yabba, yabba, ba ba"...it's adorable!

Those cheeks are so smoochable!

Caught Brennan sitting in the bumbo...

My silly boy...

How cute is this!?!
